Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is in line to make his return for the Premier League game with struggling West Brom after the Argentine international returned to training on Monday just in timefor him to feature against the Baggies.
The Citizens take on West Brom at home with the hope of getting the win that would draw them closer to the top of the table especially with the top two teams, namely Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur in action on Wednesday night.
In his pre-match press conference on Monday, Pep Guardiola confirmed that Sergio Aguero has returned to training after he missed the Manchester Derby clash with hosts Manchester United at the weekend. Aguero has had an injury hit time at Manchester City in the past months as the Citizens continue to struggle for goals.
Without all-time leading goalscorer Sergio Aguero in the team, Manchester City have scored just 17 goals in the first 12 league games and those issues in front of goal have contributed to their position on the league table.
A win for Manchester City could take them to sixth position on the league table ahead of the other week 13 games on Wednesday night. They are massive favourites to get that win against West Brom who are struggling for form with one win in their last six games in the league. West Brom have lost five of their last six matches in the Premier League including defeats in the last two league games.
Ahead of facing Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, West Brom have the leakiest defence with 25 goals conceded in their first 12 games since promotion back into the Premier League this summer. The Baggies have recorded just a solitary point in five away games in the league this season and that was the 1-1 draw at Brighton and Hove Albion.
