West Brom manager Steve Clarke has said that his players have been doing extremely well apart from being a little more decisive in front of goal.
West Brom have struggled to score goals this season especially due to the absence of players like Romelu Lukaku, who scored a majority of the goals for the club last season. The Belgian international has returned to his parent club Chelsea after his loan spell came to an end. Even though Clarke brought in experienced international Nicolas Anelka on a free transfer, the club still looks short of goals upfront.

The manager, though, received good news in the form of his players registering three goals against Sunderland during the weekend. This could not have come at a much better time for the club since they will be playing against Arsenal and Manchester United for the next three matches. Their first encounter against Arsenal, who are currently top of the Premier league table, will come in the midweek when they take on Arsene Wenger’s men in the Capital One cup. Clarke has acknowledged that his team will certainly be the underdogs going into the match, but he is confident of upsetting the odds.
After this encounter, he will be taking his team to Old Trafford to face Manchester United.
“We can be dangerous underdogs. Getting three points always puts everyone in a better place. It goes without saying that you can never be satisfied without a win in four games. But we will go into these games giving them our best shot and see what we can pick up,” said Clarke. After this match, West Brom will once again face Arsenal, but this time in the league. West Brom have managed just two wins in the last five matches of all competitions and they are 14th in the league.
