West Brom have never been in a better position after having been a regular Premier League outfit for the last few years. Keen to take advantage of this position,Peace is expected to get a good price if he sells in this market. However, the speculation has rendered the position of manager Tony Pulis unstable.

The former Stoke City manager has once again proved his quality by helping the club avoid relegation. After he replaced Alan Irvine midway through the campaign, West Brom managed to take an astonishing 27 points from just 19 games. The figure was 10 more than his predecessor had achieved from the same number of matches. This ultimately led to West Brom staying comfortably in the English top division. Supporters Club Chairman John Homer says that even if new investors come in, they should recognise the quality of Pulis and show faith in the British manager. Pulis – in the past – has been critical of foreign investors.

“The last thing Albion want after a two seasons of instability is another change of manager and they get rid of Pulis and his coaching staff. We have seen that happen (elsewhere) before. Everyone is looking to Pulis to build on the foundations he has laid.Even if there was an infusion of money we need Pulis to stay in charge. Get rid of him and we are back to Square One. He is a bonafide manager as opposed to the coaches we had before in Steve Clarke, Pepe Mel and Alan Irvine,” said Homer.
