READING HANDED DOUBLE INJURY BOOST

Reading have been handed a double boost on the injury front ahead of their English Championship clash with West Brom this weekend. The Royals would be the guests of West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday and they have received a positive injury news on two of their players in time for the West Brom game.

Royals boss Veljko Paunovic gave an injury update on those two players in his pre-match press conference for the West Brom encounter. Earlier in the week, Liam Moore and Junior Hoilett were spotted in Reading training with the rest of their teammates.

In his latest press conference on Thursday, Reading manager Paunovic told reporters that Hoilett and Moore have recovered from their respective injuries and they are in contention for the West Brom game as he expressed his  delight with their return to full fitness.

The Reading boss didn’t provide any timeline on the injured duo of Femi Azeez and Andy Yiadom. The status of Azeez and Yiadom remains unclear after they picked up knocks during the Championship clash with Hull City on Saturday. According to Paunovic, Yaidom had recurring soft-tissue issues and had to be substituted during half-time of the Hull City but he’s hopeful that the player can feature against the Baggies this weekend. The Reading manager is less optimistic about Azeez who had a knock on the ankle where he had an injury last year.

Paunovic also gave an injury update on long-term absentee Andy Rinomhota who has been out of action since August due to an ankle injury. He revealed that the player has trained this week without any issues.

Ahead of the West Brom game, Reading would be hoping to build on the four points gained from the last two Championship games against Hull City and Swansea City.
