Livermore keen to repay West Brom’s caretaker boss with promotion

West Bromwich Albion midfielder Jack Livermore has said that the team are keen to repay caretaker boss James Shan by earning promotion to the Premier League. The Baggies made the surprise decision to sack Darren Moore earlier last month amid an inconsistent run, but Shan has since impressed in the caretaker role by guiding the club to the playoffs.

Speaking on the club’s website, Livermore said that the club have plenty to offer to the manager, considering he had taken in charge of the side immediately after the birth of his third son, he told: “He’s been really good since he’s taken over. It’s a difficult role, but he knew the boys and knew what we needed.
